We ask that you assist us in providing the best possible health care to you by making sure that the information we hold on you is accurate and up to date, in particular, your contact details.

Accessing your Doctor

Most issues are best dealt within a consultation. A doctor will always be available during normal surgery hours to provide emergency advice over the phone. Our staff will help you decide whether an issue requires an appointment, a return phone call by the doctor or staff or an immediate personal discussion with your doctor.

Test Results

It is important that you obtain results of any tests done. It is good practice to arrange a follow up appointment to confirm your results. These follow up appointments will be bulkbilled.

It is the policy of this medical practice to give results in person and NOT over the phone. If your results require follow up by your doctor, you will be recalled to make another appointment. In general, recall appointments will also be bulk-billed.

Recalls and reminders:

We are committed to appropriate management and preventative care of medical conditions. We may send you a recall reminder from time to time offering you follow-up or preventative health care. If you do not wish to be part of this service please inform your doctor or the practice manager.

Referrals:

Patients must make an appointment to see their regular doctor for referrals. They will not be completed without seeing the doctor.

Scripts:

Repeat prescriptions are available to regular patients of our practice. A small fee will be requested for this service if requested outside your normal consultation time. If you are requesting a repeat script and have not attended the practice in the last 6 weeks, in accordance with our health care policies you will be required to make an appointment.

Please know that requests for scripts cannot be obtained outside this rule.

Medical Certificates:

Medical certificates are available for employment, school, child care and /or other requirements. Please request a medical certificate from your doctor at the time of consultation..
