Brunswick Heads Medical centre is a Private Medical Practice therefore we are NOT a Bulk-Billing practice.

For a standard consultation you will be required to pay for the doctors visit.

All fees are to be paid at the time of consultation by either cash, EFTPOS, credit card or cheque. If you are registered with Medicare, a rebate will then be provided to you from Medicare. For your convenience we have a direct EFTPOS link to Medicare and your rebate can usually be credited back to your bank account almost instantly.

Holders of a valid Health Care Concession or Commonwealth Health Care card are charged a discounted fee.

Department of Veteran Affairs patients payments are billed through DVA.

**Please be reassured that consultations are billed based on complexity and time spent and not on the length of appointment booked.



BulkBilled Services :

There are items that are normally bulk-billed but these will be discussed with you by your doctor at the time of consultation. Paitent's carrying a Department of Veteran’s Affairs card are bulk billed. Recalls by the doctor are also bulkbilled.

We appreciate that some people may find it difficult to pay their medical bills. If you are having financial difficulties please discuss this with your doctor at the time of appointment. Your privacy will always be honoured.

A doctor might offer to bulk bill a service by discretion in exceptional circumstances. Please discuss this at the beginning of the consultation with your doctor.Please do not assume if you were previously bulkbilled that you will continued to be bulk-billed, again, it is only at the Doctors discretion and decision.

 NSW Work Cover :

WorkCover is the medical scheme that covers the medical and rehabilitation expenses of workers in New South Wales. The patient is responsible for payment of WorkCover consultations until their employer has approved the Workers’ Compensation claim through their Insurance Company. Once the Insurance Company has accepted liability for your Workers’ Compensation claim, please notify the clinic of your claim number. All further accounts for WorkCover consultations can then be sent direct to the Insurance Company.
